Overall, it was not an very good weekend for Jeff Allen Sports although our overall results in all sports has been excellent.  Despite taking the first weekend collar in hopes all year, NBA is still 8-3 L11 and 15-7 L22 through the playoffs. The Preakness result was disappointing with our top two horses getting involved in a killing speed dual on a sloppy track in Baltimore. Baseball is now 8-2 off last night’s Cub/Giants Under on the ESPN bail play. It’s a new week and Jeff Allen Sports expects a big week starting with his Cavs/Raptors Series Game of the Year tonight.

The Preakness: Congratulations to Exaggerator and his connections on an impressive 3 1/2 length win in the Preaknees Stakes. Exaggerator was actually the horse we thought we could beat with our choices of Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist and 35-1 long shot Uncle Lino. Those two were involved in a suicidal speed dual on the front end and when the first fraction came back 22.4, our Jeff Allen ticket was all but cooked. Exaggerator bid his time and at one point was 13 lengths off the lead before getting back into  contention and was much the best in the stretch after a perfect ride by Kent Desormeaux who won this race for the fourth time. It  will be interesting to see who comes back for the Belmont and we’ll have it right here at Jeff Allen Sports.

Saturday, Toronto 99 Cleveland 84: We’re nit sure there was much to learn here. The Raptor came out ultra-professional and did  what a team should do after getting humiliated in both games in Cleveland. That said, Toronto might have played it’s perfect game  for the playoffs with status quo returning tonight. As well as the Raptors played, the Cavs stunk up the joint playing now defense with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love combining to shoot 4-28 from the field in generating just 29 points. Can DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry once again combine for 50+ points ??? The Raptors are 4-1 SU and ATS in the playoffs when they do. Can Toronto hold the Cavs below  100 points in Game IV ??? The Raptors are 0-7 SU and ATS in the playoffs when they don’t. With Valanciunas still out can Bismack
Biyombo control the glass himself and pull down another 26 rebounds ??? We” find out tonight.

Sunday, Oklahoma City 133 Golden State 105: This was a game that was tied at 3 and went to the half OKC 72-47. We’re not sure there was much to take away from this game either. Golden State couldn’t hit a shot and were dominated in every aspect of the game. The  Thunder abused the Warriors playing Golden State’s game. The Thunder only shot 50% from the floor (not spectacular) and were just  8-25 from downtown but their 123 possessions were 24 more than they averaged during the regular season. OKC had 90 points at the  6:00 mark of the third quarter and their 133 points were a playoff franchise record for a game that did not go into overtime and that with  the Thunder calling off the dogs and scoring just 16 points in the fourth quarter. They could have named their score. The story of the weekend was Draymond Green kicking Steven Adams in the Kiwis. Intentional or not, there are consequences for actions. In hockey  you are gone or substantially penalized for high sticks or boarding whether it was intentional or not. Targeting and head shots in football, the same. At times, When things are going his way, Draymond Green can be a great player, when things get hot, more often than not  he’s an abusive punk. We’ll see if Adam Silver and the league have the “kiwis” to suspend Green in Game IV. The Allen outlaw line makes
the no -180.
