BROWNS TRADE 2016 TOP PICK COREY COLEMAN TO THE BILLS

The Cleveland Browns have cut ties with former first-round draft pick Corey Coleman, trading him the the Buffalo Bills for an undisclosed pick. Coleman, a wide receiver from Baylor, was taken No.15 overall with a pick that belonged to Philadelphia who traded that pick plus third and fourth round picks in 2016 and the Eagles top two picks in 2017 for Philadelphia to move up to No.2 in the 2016 draft, a pick that would ultimately turn out to be Carson Wentz.

Coleman struggled with hand injuries in his two years with the Browns, playing in just 19 of 36 games and making 56 grabs for 718 yards and five touchdowns in his career as a Brown. With the signing of free agent Jarvis Landry, the return of problem child Josh Gordon, and the emergence of RB Duke Johnson and TE David Njoku as pass catchers, the Browns have significantly improved their passing game making Coleman expendable.
